By accessing or using CivicRate (civicrate.in), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Platform Purpose

CivicRate is a civic engagement platform that enables Indian citizens to rate their elected representatives based on personal perception. All ratings represent individual citizen opinions and do not constitute verified facts, official assessments, or endorsements by CivicRate.

3. User Responsibilities

When using CivicRate, you agree to:

• Provide honest ratings based on your genuine perception of a leader's performance
• Not impersonate others or use fake identities to submit multiple votes
• Not use automated tools (bots, scripts) to submit votes or content
• Not post defamatory, abusive, or hateful content in comments, discussions, or issue reports
• Take personal responsibility for all content you submit through the platform
• Not attempt to manipulate ratings, rankings, or any platform metrics

4. Content Ownership & Responsibility

• You retain ownership of content you create (comments, discussions, issue reports)
• By posting content, you grant CivicRate a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and use your content on the platform
• You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of content you submit
• CivicRate does not endorse, verify, or assume responsibility for user-submitted content

5. Moderation Rights

CivicRate reserves the right to:

• Remove, edit, or hide any content that violates these terms or our Content Moderation Policy
• Suspend or restrict access for users who violate platform rules
• Remove votes that are determined to be fraudulent or automated
• Modify or discontinue any feature of the platform at any time

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

CivicRate is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any ratings or data displayed
• That the platform will be available without interruption
• That user-submitted content is accurate or truthful

7. Limitation of Liability

CivicRate, its operators, and contributors shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of this platform, including but not limited to damages resulting from ratings, comments, or data displayed on the platform. Ratings reflect citizen opinions and do not represent verified facts.

8. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from the use of CivicRate shall be governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through communication at support@civicrate.in. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in New Delhi, India.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
